Re-Imagining This Space

Our blog was first launched in 2024 by accomplished writer and Aldea community member Ashley Asti who began by beautifully sharing the stories of some of our people. While Ashley and Dave have since moved out-of-state, her contribution in creating a space for creative expression is dearly appreciated.

It is now July 2026, and this space has been dormant for quite some time. After connecting with many of our community members who are writers, I felt the call to re-awaken this space for these folks to be able to share their work. 

Writing is a sacred and deeply spiritual act. It connects us with one another, ourselves, and - as you’ll see in many of the upcoming selections - the natural world. My hope is that these reflections might be inspiring and meaningful to you, not only of their own merit, but also through knowing that they come from people within your community.
